It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the night I was taken on the Night Journey, Jibril (peace be upon him) brought me a quince from Paradise, and I ate it. Then Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her) conceived Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her). So whenever I long for the fragrance of Paradise, I smell the neck of Fatimah."
This hadith is gharib (singular) in both its chain and its text; its narrator Shihab bin Harb is unknown (majhul), while the rest of its narrators are trustworthy (thiqah).

Grading: This report is "mawdu'" (fabricated). Technical note / Defect ('illah): The narrator "Muslim bin 'Isa al-Saffar" is matruk al-hadith (abandoned in hadith), as al-Daraqutni said, and al-Dhahabi stated with certainty in "al-Talkhis" that it was he who fabricated this hadith and attributed it to al-Khuraybi. (The editors say:) And "Shihab bin Harb" is known only through this hadith, so he is "majhul" (unknown), as the author (al-Hakim) said. But the author's claim that the remaining narrators are thiqah (trustworthy) is not correct, because al-Daraqutni declared Muslim bin 'Isa to be matruk. Important point: Ibn al-Jawzi, in "al-Mawdu'at" (764-770), mentioned the routes of this hadith narrated from a group of Companions and declared all of them defective: in every route there is a liar, or a hadith thief, or a matruk narrator into whose narrations material is inserted without his noticing. He concluded that this hadith is "mawdu'", and that even a beginning student would not doubt its fabrication. The one who fabricated it was the most ignorant of people regarding transmission and history, because Fatimah was born 5 years before prophethood, whereas the Isra' took place one year before the Hijrah (after the death of Khadijah). 1/ 359 - 361. General principle: A similar statement was made by al-Dhahabi in "al-Talkhis", by al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar in "Ithaf al-Maharah" (5066), and by al-Suyuti in "al-La'ali' al-Masnu'ah" (1/ 359-361). Reference / Source: Ibn al-Maghazili narrated it in "Manaqib 'Ali" (407) via Abu 'Ali al-Farisi from 'Abd al-Samad bin 'Ali, with this same chain.
