Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 4773

It is narrated from Hanash bin al-Mu'tamir that he said: I heard Sayyiduna Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him), while holding on to the door-posts of the Ka'bah, say: "Whoever recognizes me, recognizes me; and whoever does not recognize me, then I am Abu Dharr al-Ghifari. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'The likeness of my household among you is like the ark of Nuh (peace be upon him) among his people: whoever boarded it was saved, and whoever stayed behind from it drowned; and (their likeness) is like the Gate of Hittah for the Children of Israel.'"
[Mention of the virtues of Sayyidah Fatimah, daughter of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)]

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Its chain is "very weak" because of 'Abd Allah bin Dahir al-Razi; he is "matruk". No one except Salih bin Muhammad (nicknamed Jazarah) spoke well of him, and he was not correct in that. There is disagreement about 'Abd Allah bin 'Abd al-Quddus, and he is closer to weakness, and (the narrator) Hanash is also not strong.
Reference / Source: This hadith has passed at nos. (3351) and (4771) via Mufaddal bin Salih, and he is "wahin" (weak), so that corroboration of his is no cause for comfort (i.e. it carries no weight).

Linguistic analysis: 'Idadata al-bab: the two wooden posts set up on the right and left sides of the door (the jambs of the doorframe).
