Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: The hadith is "hasan", as al-Dhahabi said in "Siyar A'lam al-Nubala'" (10/ 445). This chain is "hasan" in corroborations and supporting reports because of Abd Allah bin 'Aqil. The like of it is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) through another route, which is likewise hasan in corroborations and supporting reports.
Reference / Source: Ahmad (23/ 15162) recorded it from Abu Sa'id, the client of Banu Hashim, from Za'idah, with it.
Reference / Source: Ahmad (22/ 14550 and 23/ 14838, 15065) recorded it through various routes from Abd Allah bin Muhammad bin 'Aqil, with it.
Reference / Source: It has another route in Ibn 'Asakir's "Tarikh Dimashq" (42/ 244-245), by way of Abu Salih Abd Allah bin Salih, the scribe of al-Layth, from Abd Allah bin Lahi'ah, from Muhammad bin al-Munkadir, from Jabir bin Abd Allah.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): This chain is "hasan" in corroborations and supporting reports. It contains Abd Allah bin Salih and his shaykh Ibn Lahi'ah, who are not strong (laysa bi-dhaka), but their narration is strengthened by the narration of Ibn 'Aqil, and the narration of Ibn 'Aqil is strengthened by theirs.
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Part of it, regarding the mention of Abu Bakr alone, is supported by the hadith of Ibn Mas'ud that passed at number (4492), and there is "weakness" in its chain.
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Several sahih hadiths are established regarding the glad tidings of Paradise for Abu Bakr, 'Umar and Ali (may Allah be pleased with them), whether mentioned together or separately. Among them is the hadith of Sa'id bin Zayd in Ahmad (3/ 1664), al-Nasa'i (8134) and Ibn Hibban (6996), in which he mentions along with them 'Uthman bin 'Affan, Talhah bin 'Ubayd Allah, al-Zubayr bin al-'Awwam, Abd al-Rahman bin 'Awf and Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas.
