Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Note / Clarification: (2) In the manuscripts this name was corrupted to "al-Tamimi", while the correction (al-Taymi) has been made from the sources of his biography.
Grading: (3) Its chain is "very weak" (da'if jiddan). Technical note / Defect ('illah): The reason is al-Mukhtar bin Nafi', who is "saqit" (a discarded narrator), as al-Dhahabi said in his "Talkhis". Identification of narrators: Abu Qilabah is Abd al-Malik bin Muhammad al-Raqashi. And Abu Hayyan al-Taymi is Yahya bin Sa'id bin Hayyan. Reference / Source: Al-Tirmidhi (3714) narrated it from Abu al-Khattab Ziyad bin Yahya al-Basri, from Abu Attab Sahl bin Hammad, with this same chain. It contains an addition that is not present with us here. Imam al-Tirmidhi said: "This hadith is gharib; we know it only through this route."
