أخبرني عبد الرحمن بن الحسن القاضي، حدثنا إبراهيم بن الحسين، حدثنا آدم بن أبي إياس، حدثنا شُعْبة، عن قيس بن مسلم، عن طارق بن شِهَاب، قال: رأيتُ رسول الله ﷺ، وغَزوتُ في خِلافة أبي بكرٍ (1).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Tariq bin Shihab (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and I took part in military expeditions during the caliphate of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him).

(1) خبر صحيح، وعبد الرحمن بن الحسن القاضي فيه ضعف لكنه متابع.
Grading: This report is "sahih", although Abd al-Rahman bin al-Hasan al-Qadi in its chain has some weakness, but he is corroborated.
وأخرجه أحمد 31 / (18829) و (18835) عن محمد بن جعفر، و (18829) عن عبد الرحمن بن مهدي، كلاهما عن شعبة به.
Reference / Source: Ahmad (31/18829, 18835) narrated it from Muhammad bin Ja'far, and (18829) from Abd al-Rahman bin Mahdi; both of them narrate it from Shu'bah with this same chain.
