حدثني أبو جعفر أحمد بن عُبيدٍ بن إبراهيم الأَسدي الحافظ بهَمَذَان، حدثنا أبو عبد الله محمد بن إبراهيم، حدثنا عَمرو بن زياد، حدثنا غالب القَرْقَساني، عن أبيه، عن جدِّه حبيب بن حبيب، قال: شهدتُ رسولَ الله ﷺ قال لحسان بن ثابت: "هل قُلتَ في أبي بكر شيئًا؟ قُلْ حتى أسمعَ"، قال: قلتُ: وثانيَ اثنين في الغار المُنِيفِ وقد … طافَ العَدوُّ به إِذْ صَاعَدَ الجَبَلا وكان حِبَّ رسولِ الله قد عَلِمُوا … مِن الخلائقِ لم يَعدِلْ به أَحدا (2)

It is narrated from Habib bin Habib; he said: I was present with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when he (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Hassan bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him): "Have you said anything about Abu Bakr? Recite it so that I may hear." He said: (I have composed these verses:) "He was the second of the two in the lofty cave, while the enemy, having climbed the mountain, was circling around it; and he was the beloved of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him); people know well that among all creation he (peace and blessings be upon him) held no one equal to him."

(2) إسناده تالف، وهو مكرر الخبر المتقدم برقم (4461). غير أنه قال في آخر البيت الثاني هناك: بدلًا، بدل أحدًا.
Grading: Its chain is "talif" (ruined / very weak), and this report has passed (under no. 4461) and is a repetition. Except that there, at the end of the second verse, it had "badala" in place of "ahada".
