It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) went on until he arrived in Madinah. The people came out, until we entered the road, and the women, servants and children were calling out loudly: "Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) has come, the Messenger of Allah has come! Allah is the Greatest! Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) has come, the Messenger of Allah has come!" Then, when morning came, he (peace and blessings be upon him) set off and stayed where he (peace and blessings be upon him) had been commanded.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: (1) Its chain is sahih. Technical note / Defect ('illah): Isra'il is "Ibn Yunus bin Abi Ishaq al-Sabi'i", and Abu Ishaq is Isra'il's grandfather, whose name is "Amr bin Abd Allah al-Sabi'i"; and al-Bara' is "Ibn Azib". Reference / Source: Ahmad (1/3), Muslim (3014/75) and Ibn Hibban (6281 and 6870) narrated it through various routes from Isra'il, with this same chain. Details of the narration: It is within the hadith of Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) containing the story of the Hijrah; Azib, the father of al-Bara', asked him about it, and Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated it to them. Note: Al-Hakim's inclusion of it as a supplement (istidrak) is an oversight (dhuhul) on his part. Note / Clarification: A similar narration has passed earlier (no. 4300) through the route of Ibrahim bin Tahman from Shu'bah, from the hadith of al-Bara', in which he did not mention Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him). Al-Bara' (may Allah be pleased with him) was a child when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived in Madinah, so it appears that al-Bara' was present there among the children, women and servants (and saw it himself), and he also heard the report (the remaining details) from Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him)!
