It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I am the closest of all people to Isa ibn Maryam in this world and the Hereafter. All the prophets are like paternal half-brothers (that is, those who share one father and have different mothers): their mothers are different while their religion is one, and there was no other prophet between me and Isa ibn Maryam."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim).
