حدثنا علي بن حَمْشَاذَ العَدْل، حدثنا أبو المُثنَّى، حدثنا سليمان بن حَرْب، حدثنا حمّاد بن زيد، عن المُغيرة بن حَبيب، عن شهر بن حَوْشَب، عن أبي هريرة، قال: حَنَّةُ وَلَدَتْ مَريمَ، ومَريمُ وَلَدَتْ عيسى (3).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: "Hannah gave birth to Maryam (peace be upon her), and Maryam gave birth to Isa (peace be upon him)."

(3) إسناده ضعيف لتفرُّد شهر بن حوشب به، فهو إنما يعتبر به في المتابعات والشواهد. وأخرجه الخرائطي في "مكارم الأخلاق" (1109) من طريق مسلم بن إبراهيم، عن حماد بن زيد، بهذا الإسناد.
Grading: Its chain is weak because "Shahr bin Hawshab" is alone in narrating it, and his narrations are only considered as mutaba'at and shawahid (corroboration and supporting reports).
Reference / Source: It was recorded by al-Khara'iti in "Makarim al-Akhlaq" (1109) via Muslim bin Ibrahim, from Hammad bin Zayd, with this chain.
