حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا هارون بن سليمان الأصبهاني، حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن مَهْدي، حدثنا حمّاد بن سَلَمة، عن ثابت البُناني، عن أبي رافع، عن أبي هريرة، عن النبي ﷺ قال: "كان زكريا نجارًا" (3).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم. ذكر يحيى بن زكريا نبيِّ الله ﵇

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Zakariyya (peace be upon him) was a carpenter."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim. (After this) the account of the Prophet of Allah Yahya bin Zakariyya (peace be upon them both) begins.

(3) إسناده صحيح. ثابت البُناني: هو ابن أسلم، وأبو رافع: هو نُفَيع الصائغ.
Grading: Its chain is sahih.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Thabit al-Bunani is Thabit bin Aslam, and Abu Rafi' is Nufay' al-Sa'igh.
وأخرجه أحمد 13/ (7947) و 15/ (9257) و 16/ (10294)، ومسلم (2379)، وابن ماجه (2150)، وابن حبان (5142) من طرق عن حمّاد بن سلمة، بهذا الإسناد.
