أخبرني إسماعيل بن محمد بن الفَضْل الشَّعْراني، حدثنا جدي، حدثنا سُنَيد بن داود، حدثنا جعفر بن سليمان، عن عَوف الأعرابي، عن الحسن قال: لمّا وَقَعَ يُونس في بطن الحُوت ظَنَّ أنه الموتُ، فحرَّك رِجْلَيه، فإذا هي تتحركُ، فَسَجَدَ وقال: يا ربِّ، اتخذْتُ لك مَسجِدًا في موضعٍ لم يَسجُد فيه (1) أحد (2). ذكر نبيَّ الله داود صاحب الزَّبُور ﵇

It is narrated from Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) that he said: "When Yunus (peace be upon him) reached the belly of the fish, he thought that death had come to him. So he moved his two feet, and they were moving. At this he prostrated and said: 'Ya rabbi, ittakhadhtu laka masjidan fi mawdi'in lam yasjud fihi ahad' (O my Lord! I have made for You a place of prostration in a spot where no one has prostrated before)."

(1) في (ز) يسجده، بدل: يسجد فيه.
Note / Clarification: In manuscript (Z) it is "yasjuduhu" instead of "yasjudu fihi".
(2) رجاله لا بأس بهم، لكن الصحيح عدم ذكر الحسن - وهو البصري - فيه، فقد رواه الطبري في "تفسيره" 17/ 81 عن القاسم بن الحسن، عن الحسين بن داود سُنَيد، عن جعفر بن سليمان، عن عوف من قوله. ويؤيده أنَّ الطبري أخرجه أيضًا 17/ 79 من طريق محمد بن جعفر، عن عوف، قال: بلغني أنه قال في دعائه: وبنيتُ لك مسجدًا في مكان لم يبنِه أحدٌ قبلي.
Grading: Its narrators are acceptable (la ba'sa bihim),
Technical note / Defect ('illah): but what is correct is that al-Hasan (al-Basri) is not mentioned in it. For al-Tabari narrated it in his "Tafsir" 17/ 81 from al-Qasim bin al-Hasan, from al-Husayn bin Dawud Sunayd, from Ja'far bin Sulayman, from 'Awf, as his own statement. This is supported by the fact that al-Tabari also recorded it in 17/ 79 via Muhammad bin Ja'far, from 'Awf, who said: "It has reached me that he said in his supplication: And I built for You a mosque in a place where no one before me had built."
وقد أخرجه ابن أبي الدنيا في "العقوبات" (178)، وفي "الفرج بعد الشدة" (35) من طريق إسحاق بن إدريس، عن جعفر بن سليمان، عن عوف، عن سعيد بن أبي الحسن، وهو أخو الحسن البصري. لكن إسحاق بن إدريس هذا ليس بعُمدة.
Reference / Source: It was recorded by Ibn Abi al-Dunya in "al-'Uqubat" (178) and in "al-Faraj ba'd al-Shiddah" (35) via Ishaq bin Idris, from Ja'far bin Sulayman, from 'Awf, from Sa'id bin Abi al-Hasan (the brother of al-Hasan al-Basri).
