حدثنا أبو عبد الله محمد بن يعقوب الحافظ، حدثنا علي بن الحسن، حدثنا أبو ظَفَر عبد السلام بن مُطهَّر، حدثنا جعفر بن سليمان، عن ثابت البُناني، عن أنس بن مالك، أنَّ النبي ﷺ قال: "موسى بن عِمران صَفِيُّ الله" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Musa bin Imran is the chosen one (the elect) of Allah."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

(2) إسناده جيد من أجل جعفر بن سليمان - وهو الضُّبَعي - فهو صدوق لا بأس به.
Grading: Its chain is jayyid (good) because of Ja'far bin Sulayman (al-Duba'i), who is saduq (truthful) and "la ba'sa bihi" (acceptable).
وأخرجه أبو نُعيم الأصبهاني كما في "الغرائب الملتقطة" لابن حجر (2555) من طريق سيار بن حاتم، عن جعفر بن سليمان، به.
Reference / Source: It was recorded by Abu Nu'aym al-Asbahani (as in Ibn Hajar's "al-Ghara'ib al-Multaqatah" (2555)) via Sayyar bin Hatim, from Ja'far bin Sulayman, with it.
