Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 4101

أخبرنا أحمد بن محمد الأحمسي، حدثنا الحسين بن حميد، حدثني مروان بن جعفر، حدثني حميد بن مُعاذ، حدثني مُدرِك بن عبد الرحمن، حدثنا الحسن بن ذكوان، عن الحسن، عن سُمرة، عن كَعْب الأحبار، قال: كان لوط نبي الله، وكان ابن أخي إبراهيم، وكان رجلًا أبيض حسن الوجه، دقيق الأنف، صغير الأذن، طويل الأصابع، جيّد الثَّنايا، أحسنَ الناسَ مَضْحَكًا إِذا ضحك، وأحسَنَه وأَرْزَنَه وأحكمه، وأقله أذًى لقومه، وهو حين بلغه عن قومه ما بلغه من الأذى العظيم الذي أرادوه عليه حين يقول: ﴿لَوْ أَنَّ لِي بِكُمْ قُوَّةً أَوْ آوِي إِلَى رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ﴾ [هود: 80] (1).

Ka'b al-Ahbar (may Allah have mercy on him) says: "The Prophet of Allah Lut (peace be upon him) was the nephew of Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him). He was a fair-skinned man with a handsome face, a fine nose, small ears and long fingers. His front teeth (thanaya) were very beautiful, and when he smiled he looked the most handsome of people. He was the best, most dignified and wisest of people. He was the one who caused his people the least harm (that is, he was extremely gentle). And this was at the time when he faced from his people the great abuse which they intended against him, and he said: 'If only I had strength against you, or could take refuge in a strong support.' [Surah Hud: 80]"
