أخبرنا محمد بن إسحاق الصَّفّار، حدثنا أحمد بن نصر، حدثنا عمرو بن طلحة القنَّاد، حدثنا أسباطٌ، عن السُّدِّي، قال: انطلق لوطٌ ونَزَل على أهل سَدُوم، فوجدَهم يَنكِحُون الرجال، فنزل فيهم فبعثه الله إليهم، فدعاهم ووَعَظَهم، وكان من خبرهم ما قَصَّ الله في كتابه (3). Al-Suddi (may Allah have mercy on him) says: "Lut (peace be upon him) set out and went and stayed among the people of Sodom. He found those people in a state where they committed indecency with men. So he settled there among them, and Allah Almighty sent him as a prophet to them. So he called them and admonished and exhorted them. Then the outcome of their story was what Allah Almighty has related in His Book."
