It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said that Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "The purest and most fragrant air on earth is that of India. Adam (peace be upon him) was sent down there, and so the fragrance of Paradise clung to its trees."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Its chain is "da'if" (weak). The mention of Humayd (al-Tawil) in it is a "mistake" by 'Ali bin 'Abd al-'Aziz or by a narrator below him. The "mahfuz" (preserved) version is that Hammad narrates it from 'Ali bin Zayd bin Jud'an, and he is weak. However, the meaning of this report has been narrated from 'Ali bin Abi Talib through another, "sahih" route, as will come.
