حدَّثنا أبو بكر بن إسحاق، أخبرنا إبراهيم بن إسحاق الحَرْبي وموسى بن الحسن بن عَبّاد، قالا: حدَّثنا عفان بن مُسلِم، حدَّثنا حماد بن سَلَمة، عن ثابت، عن أنس، أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: "لما صَوَّرَ الله آدمَ تركَه، فجَعَل إبليسُ يُطِيفُ به، يَنظُر إليه، فلما رآه أجوفَ قال: ظَفِرتُ به، خَلْقٌ لا يَتمالَك" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Allah Almighty fashioned the form of Adam (peace be upon him), He left him (for a while). Iblis began to circle around him and look at him. When he saw that he was hollow inside, he said: 'I have gained mastery over him; this is a creature that cannot control itself.'"
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

Grading: Its chain is sahih. Thabit is Ibn Aslam al-Bunani.
وأخرجه أحمد 21/ (13516) و (13661) عن عفان بن مسلم، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Ahmad (21/13516, 13661) recorded it from 'Affan bin Muslim, with this chain.
وقد تقدَّم برقم (105) من طريق بهز بن أسد عن حماد بن سلمة.
