It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Three kinds of people will be destroyed at the Reckoning: the generous, the brave and the scholar (who act for show)."
The chain of this hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs; although it is gharib (unusual) and shadhdh (anomalous), it is an abridged part of the first hadith and serves as a supporting narration (shahid) for it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: This hadith is "sahih" on the strength of the previous supporting reports. Technical note / Defect ('illah): Although the narrators are thiqah, there is a strong suspicion of "inqita'" (a break in the chain) between Yunus bin Ubayd and Sa'id al-Maqburi, because Yunus's hearing from Sa'id is not known, and he would sometimes place an unknown intermediary between them; perhaps this is why Imam al-Nasa'i accused him of tadlis. Technical note / Defect ('illah): Abbad bin Abbad refers either to Ibn Habib bin al-Muhallab al-Azdi or to al-Ramli al-Arsufi; both are thiqah (trustworthy), though al-Muhallabi is more trustworthy (awthaq) than al-Arsufi. Reference / Source: Abu al-Shaykh narrated it in "Tabaqat al-Muhaddithin bi-Isbahan" (798), and through him al-Shajari in "al-Amali" (2/ 221-222), through the chain of Uthman bin Khurrazadh (Uthman bin Abd Allah bin Muhammad al-Antaki, the hadith master) from Ibrahim bin Ziyad, at length like the previous hadith. Important point: Shaykh al-Albani (may Allah have mercy on him) erred in citing this hadith in "al-Silsilah al-Da'ifah" (3455) and in faulting it on the grounds that Abbad bin Abbad abridged it; for this narration is also reported at length from Abbad bin Abbad himself by hadith scholars other than al-Hakim, so he agrees with the other narrators who reported it at length.
