Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 295

It is narrated from Ibn Jurayj that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not learn knowledge in order to show off your superiority over the scholars, or to quarrel with the foolish, nor in order to talk with it in gatherings (to show your importance). Whoever does that, his abode is the Fire, the Fire."
