طَلَاقُ الْأَمَةِ تَطْلِيقَتَانِ ، وَقَرْؤُهَا حَيْضَتَانِ
The divorce of a slave woman is two pronouncements and her waiting period is two menstrual cycles

أخبرَناه الشيخ أبو بكر بن إسحاق، أخبرنا أبو المثنَّى، حدثنا مُسدَّد، حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد، حدثنا علي بن المبارك، حدثني يحيى بن أبي كثير، أنَّ عُمر (1) بن مُعتِّب، أخبره، أنَّ أبا حسن مولى بني نَوفَل أخبره: أنه استفتَى ابنَ عباس في مملوك كانت تحتَه مملوكةٌ فطلّقَها تطليقتين، ثم أُعتقا بعد ذلك، هل يَصلُحُ له أن يَخطُبَها، قال: نعم، قَضَى بذلك رسولُ الله ﷺ (2).

It is narrated from Abu Hasan (a freed slave of Banu Nawfal) that he asked Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) for a ruling about a slave who was married to a slave woman; he gave her two divorces, and after that they were both freed: may he now propose marriage to her (again)? He said: "Yes, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave this very judgement."

(2) إسناده ضعيف لضعف عمر بن معتِّب.
Grading: The chain of this hadith is "da'if" (weak) because of the weakness of "'Umar bin Mu'attib".
وأخرجه أحمد 3/ (2031)، وأبو داود (2187)، والنسائي (5591) من طريق يحيى بن سعيد القطان، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Ahmad (3/ 2031), Abu Dawud (2187) and al-Nasa'i (5591) narrated it via Yahya bin Sa'id al-Qattan, with this chain.
وأخرجه أحمد 5/ (3088)، وابن ماجه (2082)، والنسائي (5592) من طريق معمر بن راشد، عن يحيى بن أبي كثير، به.
Reference / Source: Ahmad (5/ 3088), Ibn Majah (2082) and al-Nasa'i (5592) narrated it via Ma'mar bin Rashid, from Yahya bin Abi Kathir, likewise.
