It is narrated from Abu al-Jawza' that he came to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) and asked: "Do you know that in the blessed time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), three divorces (pronounced together) used to be counted as one and returned (for the possibility of taking back)?" He said: "Yes."
The chain of this hadith is sahih (authentic), but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: This hadith is "sahih li-ghayrihi" (sahih due to supporting evidence), and this chain is "hasan" in corroborations and supporting reports because it contains "Abd Allah bin al-Mu'ammal", who is weak but can be considered (yu'tabar bihi). This hadith is also narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) through another, sahih route, which will come after it.
