فحدَّثَناه إسماعيل بن أحمد التاجر، أخبرنا علي بن أحمد بن الحسين العِجْلي، حدثنا محمد بن طَريف، حدثنا المُحارِبي، عن معمر، عن الزُّهْري، عن سالم بن عبد الله، عن أبيه: أنَّ غَيلان بن سَلَمة أسلَم وعنده عشرُ نِسوةٍ في الجاهلية، وأسلَمْن معه، فقال رسول الله ﷺ: "اختَرْ منهن أربعًا" (2). وأما حديث عيسى:
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that Ghaylan bin Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him) accepted Islam while he had ten wives whom he had married in the time of Ignorance (Jahiliyyah), and those wives also accepted Islam with him. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Choose four of them."
