It is narrated from Sayyiduna Nadrah bin Aktham (may Allah be pleased with him) that he married a virgin woman and consummated the marriage with her, and found her pregnant. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) declared her child his slave and separated the husband and wife.

Grading: Its men are thiqah, but narrating it as "muttasil" (with a connected chain) is an "error" (wahm) by al-Husayn bin Muhammad bin Ziyad or by a narrator below him. Technical note / Defect ('illah): This is because Abu Dawud al-Sijistani narrated it from Muhammad bin al-Muthanna as "mursal", and this is supported by the fact that 'Abdullah bin al-Mubarak narrated it from 'Ali bin al-Mubarak as "mursal" as well. Also, Abu Hatim al-Razi said, as in "al-'Ilal" (1259): Yahya bin Abi Kathir narrated it from Yazid bin Nu'aym from Sa'id bin al-Musayyab, not going beyond him (i.e. without mentioning a Companion), as marfu' (attributed to the Prophet). Reference / Source: Abu Dawud (2132) narrated it from Muhammad bin al-Muthanna with this same chain from Sa'id bin al-Musayyab: "A man called Basrah bin Aktham", and then he mentioned the whole hadith. Reference / Source: Sa'id bin Mansur (693), and through his route Harb bin Isma'il in "al-Masa'il" (1/ 307), and al-Bayhaqi (7/ 155) narrated it from 'Abdullah bin al-Mubarak, from 'Ali bin al-Mubarak, likewise as "mursal".
