It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) congratulated a person on the occasion of his marriage, he would supplicate: 'Barakallahu laka wa baraka 'alayka wa jama'a baynakuma fi khayr' (May Allah bless you, and send blessings upon you, and keep you both together in goodness).
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: The chain of this hadith is "qawi" (strong). Technical note / Defect ('illah): The strength of the chain is due to 'Abd al-'Aziz bin Muhammad, who is "al-Darawardi". And Suhayl (the name in the chain) refers to "Suhayl bin Abi Salih al-Samman". Reference / Source: Ahmad (14/ 8957), Abu Dawud (2130) and al-Tirmidhi (1091) narrated it from Qutaybah bin Sa'id with this same chain. Grading: Al-Tirmidhi says: This hadith is "hasan sahih". Reference / Source: Ahmad (8956), Ibn Majah (1905), al-Nasa'i (10017) and Ibn Hibban (4052) narrated it likewise through various routes from 'Abd al-'Aziz bin Muhammad. Note / Clarification: The word "رفأ" is read both with a hamzah and without it. It means: he supplicated for him with "rifa'", and rifa' means union, harmony, blessing and growth.
