Book of Marriage
إِذَا نَكَحَ الوَلِيَّانِ فَهُوَ لِلْأَوَّلِ ، وَإِذَا بَاعَ الْمُجِيزَانِ فَهُوَ لِلْأَوَّلِ
If two guardians give her in marriage, it belongs to the first, and if two agents sell, it belongs to the first

فأخبرَناه أبو الفضل الحسن بن يعقوب العَدْل، حدثنا يحيى بن أبي طالب، حدثنا عبد الوهاب بن عطاء، حدثنا سعيد، عن قَتَادة، عن الحسن، عن سَمُرة بن جُندُب، أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ قال: "أيُّما رجل باع مِن رجلَين بيعًا، فهو للأوّل منهما، وأيُّما امرأةٍ زَوَّجها وَليّان، فهي للأوّل" (2). وأما حديث سعيد بن بَشير:
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever sells something to two men, it belongs to the first buyer, and any woman who has been married off by two guardians (in two separate places) belongs to the first husband."

(2) حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد قوي من أجل عبد الوهاب بن عطاء، فهو صدوق لا بأس به، وقد توبع.
Grading: This hadith is "sahih", and this chain is "strong" (qawi) because of Abd al-Wahhab bin Ata', since he is saduq and there is no harm in his narration; he has also been corroborated.
وأخرجه أحمد 33/ (20085)، والترمذي (1110)، والنسائي (6234) و (11663) من طريق محمد بن جعفر غُندر، وابن ماجه (2190) من طريق خالد بن الحارث، والنسائي (6235) من طريق إبراهيم بن طهمان، ثلاثتهم عن سعيد بن أبي عَروبة، بهذا الإسناد. وشك خالد في روايته فقال: عن عقبة بن عامر أو سمرة بن جندب، وجمع بينهما ابنُ طهمان.
Reference / Source: Ahmad (33/20085), al-Tirmidhi (1110) and al-Nasa'i (6234 and 11663) recorded it via Muhammad bin Ja'far "Ghundar"; Ibn Majah (2190) via Khalid bin al-Harith; and al-Nasa'i (6235) via Ibrahim bin Tahman. All three of them narrate it from Sa'id bin Abi Arubah with the aforementioned chain.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Khalid expressed doubt in his narration, saying: "from Uqbah bin Amir or Samurah bin Jundab", whereas Ibrahim bin Tahman combined both Companions in his narration.
