It is narrated from Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Any woman who has been married off by two guardians (in two separate places) belongs to the first husband, and when two men have bought something, it belongs to the first buyer."
Sa'id bin Abi Arubah and Sa'id bin Bashir al-Dimashqi corroborated this narration from Qatadah.
Grading: Its chain is "sahih". Technical note / Defect ('illah): The hearing of al-Hasan al-Basri from Samurah bin Jundab (may Allah be pleased with him) is sound, as we explained earlier under hadith number (151). The narrator Muhammad bin Abi Bakr is "Muhammad bin Abi Bakr bin Ali al-Muqaddami". Reference / Source: This narration has already passed at number (2285) via various routes from Hisham al-Dastuwa'i.
