حدثنا أبو بكر أحمد بن سلمان بن الحسن الفقيه الزاهد ببغداد، حدثنا يحيى بن جعفر بن الزِّبْرِقان، حدثنا زيد بن الحُبَاب، حدثنا الحسين بن واقِد. وأخبرنا أبو العباس القاسم بن القاسم السَّيَّاري بمَرْو، حدثنا إبراهيم بن هلال، حدثنا علي بن الحسن بن شَقيق، أخبرنا الحسين بن واقِد، عن عبد الله بن بُريدة، عن أبيه قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "إنَّ أحسابَ أهلِ الدنيا الذي يَذهبُون إليه لَهذا المالُ" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Buraydah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The noble standing (hasab: pride and nobility of lineage) of the people of this world, towards which they incline, is this wealth."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

(2) إسناده قوي من أجل الحسين بن واقد، فهو صدوق لا بأس به.
Grading: This chain is "strong" (qawi) because of al-Husayn bin Waqid, since he is "saduq" (truthful) and there is no harm in his narration.
وأخرجه أحمد 38/ (22990) عن زيد بن الحُباب، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Ahmad recorded it in "al-Musnad" (38/22990) from Zayd bin al-Hubab, with this same chain.
وأخرجه أيضًا (23059) عن علي بن الحسن بن شقيق، به.

وأخرجه النسائي (5316) من طريق أبي تُميلة يحيى بن واضح، عن الحسين بن واقد، به.
