Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 2705

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no morning except that two callers call out in it: Woe (destruction) to men because of women, and woe to women because of men."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Hadith Grading
Hadith Takhrij «
Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Here the attribution of Abu 'Amr 'Uthman bin Ahmad is written as "al-Bazzaz", whereas this attribution is not known for him and does not occur anywhere else. His well-known attributions are "Ibn al-Sammak" and "al-Daqqaq". He was also called "al-Baz al-Ashhab" (the grey falcon), so it is plausible that the word "al-Baz" was corrupted and written as "al-Bazzaz". And Allah knows best.

Grading: Its chain is "very weak".
Technical note / Defect ('illah): The narrator "Kharijah bin Mus'ab" is extremely weak (wahin), as Imam al-Dhahabi said, and "Husayn bin Abi Ma'shar" (Husayn bin Muhammad) is also weak, although Husayn has been corroborated.
Reference / Source: Ibn Majah narrated it (3999) via Abu Bakr bin Abi Shaybah and 'Ali bin Muhammad; both of them narrate it from Waki' with this same chain.
Note: This narration will come again later at number (8893) via Yahya bin Yahya from Kharijah.
