Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 2360

ما حدثنا أبو أحمد محمد بن محمد بن إسحاق العَدْل الصفّار، حدثنا أحمد بن محمد بن نَصْر، حدثنا عمرو بن طلحة القَنّاد، حدثنا أسباطُ بن نَصْر، عن السُّدِّي، عن مُصعب بن سَعْد، عن أبيه، قال: لما كان يومُ فتحِ مكةَ أَمَّنَ رسولُ اللهِ ﷺ الناسَ إِلَّا أربعةَ نَفَرٍ وامرأتين، وقال: "اقتُلُوهم وإن وجدتموهم مُتعلِّقين بأستارِ الكعبة"؛ عِكْرمةُ بن أبي جهل، وعبدُ الله بن خَطَلٍ، ومِقْيَسُ بن صُبَابة، وعبد الله بن سَعْد بن أبي سَرْحٍ (1).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the Conquest of Makkah, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) granted safety to all the people except four men and two women, and said (about them): "Kill them, even if you find them clinging to the curtains of the Ka'bah." (The four were:) Ikrimah bin Abi Jahl, Abdullah bin Khatal, Miqyas bin Subabah and Abdullah bin Sa'd bin Abi Sarh.

(1) إسناده حسن، السُّدِّي - وهو إسماعيل بن عبد الرحمن - وأسباط بن نصر صدوقان.
Grading: Its chain is "hasan"; al-Suddi (Isma'il bin Abd al-Rahman) and Asbat bin Nasr are both "saduq" (truthful) narrators.
وأخرجه أبو داود (2683)، والنسائي (3516) من طريق أحمد بن المفضّل، عن أسباط بن نصر، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Abu Dawud (2683) and al-Nasa'i (3516) narrated it via Ahmad bin al-Mufaddal from Asbat bin Nasr with this same chain.
