It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A man had never done any good deed. He used to lend to people, and he would say to his agent: 'Take what is easy, leave what is difficult, and be lenient, so that Allah may be lenient with us.' When he died, Allah asked him: 'Have you ever done any good deed?' He said: 'No, except that I used to lend to people, and when sending my servant to collect, I would tell him: Take what comes easily and leave what is difficult.' Then Allah Almighty said: 'I have pardoned you.'"
