Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 2230

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The period for returning on account of a defect (uhdah) is not more than four days."

Hadith Grading
Hadith Takhrij «
Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Like the previous narration, this too is weak because it is "munqati'" (broken)
Note / Clarification: Hushaym is Ibn Bashir al-Wasiti.
Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad (28/ 17292) and Ibn Majah (2245) narrated it through the route of Hushaym.
Variation in the chain: Isma'il Ibn Ulayyah contradicted Hushaym and narrated it from Yunus from al-Hasan as "mursal".
