Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 223

فحدَّثَناه الحسن بن يعقوب العَدل، حدثنا يحيى بن أبي طالب، حدثنا عبد الوهاب بن عطاء، حدثنا سعيد. قال (3): وحدثنا الحسين بن محمد بن زياد، حدثنا هارون بن إسحاق الهمداني، حدثنا عبدة بن سليمان، حدثنا سعيد بن أبي عَرُوبة، عن قَتَادة، أنَّ أبا المَلِيح الهُذَلي حدَّثهم، أنَّ عوف بن مالك قال: كنَّا مع رسول الله ﷺ في بعض أسفارِه، فذكر الحديث (1). وأما حديث هشام الدَّستُوائي (2):
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Awf bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: We were with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on a journey. Then he mentioned (the hadith) like the previous hadith.

(3) القائل هو الحسن بن يعقوب العدل شيخ المصنف، فإنَّ الحسين بن محمد بن زياد -وهو القبّاني- من شيوخه.
Note / Clarification: The one who says this is the author's teacher al-Hasan bin Ya'qub al-Adl, because al-Husayn bin Muhammad bin Ziyad (known as al-Qabbani) is among his teachers.

(1) إسناده صحيح.
Grading: Its chain is sahih.
وأخرجه الترمذي مختصرًا (2441) عن هناد بن السريِّ، عن عبدة بن سليمان، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Al-Tirmidhi narrated it in abridged form (2441) by way of Hannad bin al-Sari, who reported it from Abdah bin Sulayman with this same chain.
وأخرجه أحمد 39/ (24003) عن محمد بن بكر البُرساني، عن سعيد بن أبي عروبة، به.
Reference / Source: Ahmad narrated it in the "Musnad" (vol. 39, hadith 24003) through the route of Muhammad bin Bakr al-Bursani, who reported it from Sa'id bin Abi Arubah.
وأخرجه أحمد أيضًا (24002)، وابن حبان (211) و (6463) و (6470) من طريق أبي عوانة، وأحمد (24009) من طريق شيبان النحوي، كلاهما عن قتادة، به.
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Ahmad narrated it (24002) and Ibn Hibban (211, 6463, 6470) through the route of Abu Awanah, and Ahmad (24009) through the route of Shayban al-Nahwi; both of them narrated it from Qatadah.

(2) وهو هشام بن أبي عبد الله سَنبَر الدَّستوائي.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Hisham here is Hisham bin Abi Abd Allah Sanbar al-Dastuwa'i.
