ما حدَّثَناه أبو بكر بن إسحاق الفقيه، أخبرنا محمد بن يونس، حدثنا عبد الصمد بن عبد الوارث، حدثنا زيدٌ أبو المُعلَّى. وحدثنا أبو بكر قال: وأخبرنا الحسين بن محمد بن زياد، حدثنا عَمرو بن علي، حدثنا المُعتمِر بن سليمان، قال: سمعتُ زيدًا أبا المُعلى يحدِّث عن الحسن، عن مَعقِل بن يَسار، قال: سمعتُ رسول الله ﷺ يقول: "مَن دَخَلَ في شيءٍ من أسعارِ المسلمين ليُغْليَ عليهم، كان حقًّا على الله أن يَقذِفَه في مُعظَمِ جهنَّم، رأسُه أسفلَه" (1). هذه الأحاديث الستة طلبتُها وخَرَّجتها في موضعها من هذا الكتاب احتسابًا لما فيه الناسُ من الضِّيق، والله يَكشِفُها، وإن لم يكن مِن شرط هذا الكتاب.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever interferes in any way in the prices of the Muslims in order to make things expensive for them, it is a right upon Allah that He cast him headlong into the most terrible part of Hell."
Imam al-Hakim says: I searched out these six hadiths and have recorded them here seeking reward, because the people are in hardship, may Allah remove it, even though they were not upon the (formal) condition of this book.

(1) إسناده جيد من جهة الحسين بن محمد بن زياد من أجل زيد أبي المعلَّى - وهو زيد بن مرة، ويقال: يزيد بن أبي ليلى - فهو صدوق لا بأس به، وفي الإسناد الآخر محمد بن يونس - وهو الكديمي - ضعيف جدًّا.
Grading: Through al-Husayn bin Muhammad bin Ziyad this chain is
jayyid, because Zayd Abu al-Mu'alla is a saduq narrator and "la ba'sa bihi" (there is no harm in him). In the other chain, however, Muhammad bin Yunus al-Kudaymi is
extremely weak.
وأخرجه أحمد 33/ (20313) عن عبد الصمد بهذا الإسناد. بلفظ: "فإنَّ حقًّا على الله أن يُقعده بعُظْم من النار يوم القيامة".
Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad narrated it with these words: "It is a right upon Allah that He seats him in the greater part of the Fire on the Day of Resurrection".
ومُعظَم جهنم وعُظْمها: وسطُها، قال ابن سِيدَهْ: عُظْم الشيء ومُعظَمه: وسطُه.
Linguistic explanation: By the
"'uzm" or
"mu'zam" of Hell is meant its middle and largest part. According to Ibn Sidah, the "'uzm" of anything is its middle (centre).
