حدثنا أبو بكر بن إسحاق الفقيه وعلي بن حَمْشاذَ العَدْل، قالا: أخبرنا بشر بن موسى، حدثنا الحُميدي، حدثنا سفيان، حدثنا العلاء بن عبد الرحمن، عن أبيه، عن أبي هريرة، قال: مَرَّ النبيُّ ﷺ برجلٍ يبيع طعامًا، فأعجبه، فأدخل يدَه فيه، فإذا هو بطعامٍ مَبْلُولٍ، فقال النبيُّ ﷺ: "ليس مِنّا مَن غَشَّنا" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه هكذا (3)، وقد رواه محمد وإسماعيل ابنا جعفر بن أبي كثير عن العلاء. أما حديث محمد بن جعفر:

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a man who was selling grain. The grain outwardly pleased him (peace and blessings be upon him), so he (peace and blessings be upon him) put his blessed hand into it, and the grain was wet inside. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever deceives us is not one of us."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it in this way. It has also been narrated from al-Ala' by Muhammad and Isma'il (the sons of Ja'far bin Abi Kathir).

(2) إسناده صحيح. الحُميدي: هو عبد الله بن الزُّبَير المكي، وسفيان: هو ابن عيينة، وعبد الرحمن: هو ابن يعقوب مولى الحُرَقة.
Grading: Its chain is
sahih. It includes trustworthy narrators such as al-Humaydi, Sufyan bin 'Uyaynah and Abd al-Rahman bin Ya'qub.
وأخرجه أحمد 12/ (7292)، وأبو داود (3452)، وابن ماجه (2224) من طريق سفيان بن عيينة، بهذا الإسناد. بلفظ: "ليس منا من غَشَّ".
Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad, Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah narrated it via the chain of Sufyan bin 'Uyaynah with these words: "Whoever cheats is not one of us".
