لَمْ يَكُنْ عَبْدٌ لِيَمُوتَ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ آخِرَ رِزْقٍ هُوَ لَهُ
No servant will die until he has received the last of the provision that is his
Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 2164

أخبرَناه أحمد بن جعفر القَطِيعي، حدثنا عبد الله بن أحمد بن حنبل، حدثني أبي، حدثنا محمد بن بكر، عن ابن جُرَيج، عن أبي الزُّبَير، عن جابر، قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "إِنَّ أحدَكُم لن يموتَ حتى يَستكمِلَ رزقَه، فلا تَستبطِئوا الرزقَ، واتقُوا اللهَ أيها الناسُ، وأجمِلُوا في الطلَبِ، خُذُوا ما حَلَّ، ودَعُوا مَا حَرُمَ" (2). وأيضا شاهدٌ عن ابن مسعود، بزيادات ألفاظٍ:

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "None of you will ever meet death until he has obtained his full provision. So do not be impatient in the matter of provision. O people, fear Allah and adopt moderation and grace in seeking provision; take what is lawful and leave what is unlawful."

(2) حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد رجاله ثقات، وقد صرَّح ابن جُرَيج وأبو الزُّبَير بسماعهما عند ابن الطيوري في "الطيوريات" (127).
Grading: The hadith is
sahih, and all its narrators are
thiqah. Ibn Jurayj and Abu al-Zubayr explicitly stated that they heard it directly.
وأخرجه ابن ماجه (2144) من طريق الوليد بن مسلم، عن ابن جُرَيج، به.
Reference / Source: Ibn Majah narrated it by way of al-Walid bin Muslim.
