أخبرنا أبو بكر بن إسحاق، أخبرنا عبد الله بن الليث المروَزي، حدثنا أحمد بن عيسى، حدثنا عبد الله بن وهب، أخبرني عمرو بن الحارث، عن سعيد بن أبي هِلال، عن محمد بن المُنكَدِر، عن جابر بن عبد الله، أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ قال: "لا تَستبطِئوا الرزقَ، فإنه لم يَكُن عبدٌ لِيموتَ حتى يبلُغَ آخرَ رِزقٍ هو له، فأجمِلُوا في الطلَب؛ أَخْذِ الحلال وتَرْكِ الحرام" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه. وشاهدُه عن أبي الزُّبَير عن جابر صحيح على شرط مسلم:

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not be hasty in the matter of provision (that is, do not feel that it is coming late), for no servant will ever die until he has obtained even the last of the provision decreed for him. So adopt a fine and graceful manner in seeking provision; that is, take what is lawful and leave what is unlawful."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it, and it has a corroborating report from Sayyiduna Jabir that is sahih on the condition of Imam Muslim.

(1) حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد حسن من أجل عبد الله بن الليث المروَزي، فقد روى عنه جمع من الثقات، ولا يُعرف بجرح، وقد توبع. أحمد بن عيسى: هو المصري المعروف بالتُّسْتَري.
Grading: The hadith is
sahih, and because of Abd Allah bin al-Layth al-Marwazi the chain is
hasan.
وأخرجه ابن حبان (3239) من طريق حرملة بن يحيى، عن عبد الله بن وهب، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Ibn Hibban narrated it by way of Harmalah bin Yahya from Ibn Wahb.
