It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The most complete of the believers in faith is the one who is the very best of them in character."
This is a hadith that has not been recorded in the "Two Sahihs", but it is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim bin al-Hajjaj, since he used the hadiths of al-Qa'qa' bin Hakim from Abu Salih from Abu Hurayrah as corroboration, and his use of Muhammad bin Amr and Muhammad bin Ajlan as evidence and corroboration is also established.
This hadith is also narrated through Muhammad bin Sirin from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), and through Shu'ayb bin al-Habhab from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him). Ibn Ulayyah also narrated it through Khalid al-Hadhdha from Abu Qilabah from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her); however (Imam al-Hakim says), I fear that Abu Qilabah did not hear it directly from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her).
