It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ammar bin Yasir (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day he led his companions in a short prayer. It was said to him: O Abu al-Yaqzan! You made the prayer very light! He said: There is no harm to me in that; I made supplications in it that I had heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). A man (Abu Ata) followed him and asked him about that supplication, and he told him: 'Allahumma bi'ilmikal-ghayb, wa qudratika 'alal-khalq, ahyini ma 'alimtal-hayata khayran li, wa tawaffani idha kanatil-wafatu khayran li. Allahumma wa as'aluka khashyataka fil-ghaybi wash-shahadah, wa as'aluka kalimatal-hukmi fil-ghadabi war-rida, wa as'alukal-qasda fil-ghina wal-faqr, wa as'aluka na'iman la yabid, wa as'aluka qurrata 'aynin la tanfadu wa la tanqati', wa as'alukar-rida ba'dal-qada', wa as'aluka bardal-'ayshi ba'dal-mawt, wa as'aluka ladhdhatan-nazari ila wajhik, wa as'alukash-shawqa ila liqa'ika fi ghayri darra'a mudirrah, wa la fitnatin mudillah. Allahumma zayyinna bi-zinatil-iman, waj'alna hudatan muhtadin' (O Allah, by Your knowledge of the unseen and Your power over creation, keep me alive as long as life is better for me, and cause me to die when death is better for me. O Allah, I ask You for fear of You in private and in public; I ask You for the ability to speak the word of truth in anger and in contentment; I ask You for moderation in wealth and in poverty; I seek a blessing that never ends and a coolness of the eyes that never ceases; and I ask You for contentment after Your decree, a tranquil life after death, the delight of looking at Your Face and longing to meet You, without any harmful affliction or misleading trial. O Allah, adorn us with the adornment of faith, and make us guides who are rightly guided).
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
