It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to make this supplication: 'Allahummaghfir lana dhunubana wa zulmana wa hazlana, wa jiddana wa 'amdana, wa kullu dhalika 'indana' (O Allah, forgive our sins, and pardon our wrongdoings, the things we said in jest, our seriousness and what we did deliberately, for all of these (weaknesses) are present in us).
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Grading: It is sahih on account of supporting reports. Because of Huyayy bin 'Abdullah, this chain is "hasan" in corroborations. Reference / Source: Ibn Hibban narrated it with this same chain via the route of Ibn Wahb. Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad narrated it via the route of Ibn Lahi'ah. Corroborating chains and supporting reports: A supporting report for it is the narration of Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) (al-Bukhari and Muslim), whose words are: "O Allah, forgive me my sins, my ignorance, and my excesses in my affairs, and what You know better than I; O Allah, forgive me my jesting and my seriousness, my mistakes and my deliberate acts, and all of that is in me."
