Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 1932

It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) (used to supplicate thus): This is all that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) asked of his Lord: 'Allahumma inni as'aluka khayral-mas'alah, wa khayrad-du'a', wa khayran-najah, wa khayral-'amal, wa khayrath-thawab, wa khayral-hayah, wa khayral-mamat, wa thabbitni wa thaqqil mawazini, wa haqqiq imani, warfa' darajati, wa taqabbal salati, waghfir khati'ati, wa as'alukad-darajatil-'ula minal-jannah. Allahumma inni as'aluka fawatihal-khayri wa khawatimahu wa jawami'ahu, wa awwalahu, wa zahirahu, wa batinahu, wad-darajatil-'ula minal-jannah, amin. Allahumma inni as'aluka khayra ma ati, wa khayra ma af'al, wa khayra ma a'mal, wa khayra ma batan, wa khayra ma zahar, wad-darajatil-'ula minal-jannah, amin. Allahumma inni as'aluka an tarfa'a dhikri, wa tada'a wizri, wa tuslihu amri, wa tutahhira qalbi, wa tuhassina farji, wa tunawwira li qalbi, wa taghfira li dhanbi, wa as'alukad-darajatil-'ula minal-jannah, amin. Allahumma inni as'aluka an tubarika li fi nafsi, wa fi sam'i, wa fi basari, wa fi ruhi, wa fi khalqi wa fi khuluqi, wa ahli, wa fi mahyaya, wa fi mamati, wa fi 'amali, wa taqabbal hasanati, wa as'alukad-darajatil-'ula minal-jannah' (O Allah, I seek from You the best of requests, the best of supplications, the best of success, the best of deeds, the best of rewards, the best of life and the best of death. Keep me steadfast, make the scales of my good deeds heavy, bring my faith to completion, raise my ranks, accept my prayer, and forgive my error, and I ask You for the high ranks of Paradise. O Allah, I ask You for the beginnings of good, its endings, its comprehensive perfections, its first part, its outward and its inward, and I ask for the lofty ranks in Paradise. Amin. O Allah, I ask You for the good of whatever I bring, whatever I do, whatever I put into practice, whatever is hidden and whatever is apparent, and I ask You for the high ranks of Paradise. Amin. O Allah, I implore You to raise my mention, remove my burden, set my affairs right, purify my heart, guard my private parts, illuminate my heart for me and forgive my sin, and I ask You for the high ranks of Paradise. Amin. O Allah, I ask You to bless me in my self, in my hearing, in my sight, in my soul, in my physical form, in my character, in my family, in my life, in my death and in my deeds, and to accept my good deeds, and I ask You for the high ranks of Paradise).
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
