Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 1931

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to make this supplication: 'Rabbi a'inni wa la tu'in 'alayya, wansurni wa la tansur 'alayya, wamkur li wa la tamkur 'alayya, wahdini wa yassiril-huda li, wansurni 'ala man bagha 'alayya. Rabbij'alni laka shakkaran, laka dhakkaran, laka rahhaban, laka mitwa'an, laka mukhbitan, laka awwahan muniban. Taqabbal tawbati, wa ajib da'wati, wahdi qalbi, wa thabbit hujjati, wa saddid lisani, waslul sakhimata qalbi' (O my Lord, help me and do not help (anyone) against me; grant me victory and do not give (anyone) victory over me; plan in my favour and do not let any plan be made against me; guide me and make the path of guidance easy for me; and help me against whoever transgresses against me. O my Lord, make me one who is abundantly grateful to You, who remembers You abundantly, who fears You, who is utterly obedient and submissive to You, humble before You, and who turns back to You with sighs and entreaty. Accept my repentance, answer my call, keep my heart upon the right path, make my proof firm, keep my tongue steadfast upon the truth, and wash away the rancour of my heart).
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
