حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب إملاءً، حدثنا محمد بن علي بن مَيْمُون الرَّقِّي، حدثنا محمد بن يوسف الفِرْيابي، حدثنا يونس بن أبي إسحاق، عن إبراهيم بن محمد بن سعد، عن أبيه، عن جدِّه سعد بن أبي وقّاص، قال: قال رسولُ الله ﷺ: "دعوةُ ذي النُّون إذْ دعا وهو في بطن الحُوت: لا إلهَ إِلَّا أَنتَ، سبحانَكَ إِنِّي كنتُ من الظالمين، إنه لم يَدْعُ بها مسلمٌ في شيءٍ قطُّ، إلا استجابَ اللهُ له بها" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه. وقد رُوي عن الفِرْيابي عن سفيان الثوري عن يونس بن أبي إسحاق كذلك، وهو وهمٌ من الراوي:

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The supplication of Dhun-Nun (Sayyiduna Yunus, peace be upon him) which he made in the belly of the fish (is this): 'La ilaha illa anta, subhanaka inni kuntu minaz-zalimin' (There is no god but You; You are glorified; indeed I have been of the wrongdoers). The fact is that no Muslim ever supplicates with these words for any purpose except that Allah Almighty answers his supplication."
This hadith has a sahih chain (sahih al-isnad), but the two Shaykhs did not record it. It has also been narrated likewise by al-Firyabi from Sufyan al-Thawri, but connecting it to Sufyan is an error of the narrator.

(2) حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد حسن من أجل يونس بن أبي إسحاق.
Grading: The hadith is sahih, and this chain is "hasan" on account of Yunus bin Abi Ishaq.
وأخرجه الترمذي (3505)، والنسائي (10417) من طريقين عن محمد بن يوسف الفريابي، بهذا الإسناد. وذكر الترمذي أنَّ بعضهم رواه عن يونس عن إبراهيم بن محمد بن سعد عن سعد، لم يذكر عن أبيه، ثم قال الترمذي: وكان يونس بن أبي إسحاق ربما ذكر في هذا الحديث عن أبيه، وربما لم يذكره.
Reference / Source: It was narrated by al-Tirmidhi (3505) and al-Nasa'i. According to al-Tirmidhi, Yunus sometimes mentioned his father in it and sometimes did not.
وأخرجه مطولًا ضمن قصةٍ أحمد 3/ (1462) عن إسماعيل بن عمر الواسطي، عن يونس بن أبي إسحاق، به. ¤ ¤ وسيكرره المصنف بإسناده ومتنه برقم (3485).
Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad 3/ (1462) narrated it together with a lengthy story. The author (al-Hakim) will mention it again at (3485).
