حدثنا جعفر بن محمد بن نُصَير الخُلْدي، حدثنا علي بن عبد العزيز، حدثنا حجّاج بن مِنْهال، حدثنا حمّاد بن سَلَمة، عن الحجّاج الصَّوّاف، عن أبي الزُّبير، عن جابر، أنَّ النبي ﷺ قال: "من قال: سُبحانَ الله العظيم، غُرِسَتْ له نَخلةٌ في الجنة" (1).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever says 'Subhana Allahil-'Azim' (Glorified is Allah, the Most Great), a date palm is planted for him in Paradise."
This hadith is sahih on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

(1) إسناده صحيح. حجاج الصواف: هو ابن أبي عثمان، وأبو الزبير: هو محمد بن مسلم بن تدرُس المكي.
Grading: Its chain is sahih. Hajjaj al-Sawwaf is Ibn Abi Uthman, and Abu al-Zubayr is Muhammad bin Muslim bin Tadrus al-Makki.
وأخرجه النسائي (10594) من طريق مسلم بن إبراهيم، عن حماد بن سلمة، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Imam al-Nasa'i (10594) narrated it by way of Muslim bin Ibrahim, from Hammad bin Salamah, with this chain.
وأخرجه الترمذي (3465)، وابن حبان (827) من طريق مؤمل بن إسماعيل، عن حماد بن سلمة، عن أبي الزبير، عن جابر. لم يذكر فيه حجاج الصواف، ومؤمل بن إسماعيل هذا سيئ الحفظ، وقال الترمذي: حديث حسن غريب.
Reference / Source: Imam al-Tirmidhi (3465) and Ibn Hibban (827) narrated it by way of Mu'ammal bin Isma'il, from Hammad bin Salamah, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him).
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Hajjaj al-Sawwaf is not mentioned in it, and this narrator Mu'ammal bin Isma'il has "poor memory".
Grading: Imam al-Tirmidhi called it hasan gharib.
وأخرجه الترمذي (3464)، وابن حبان (826) من طريق روح بن عبادة، عن حجاج الصواف، به. قال الترمذي: حديث حسن غريب لا نعرفه إلّا من حديث أبي الزبير عن جابر.
