حدثني محمد بن صالح بن هانئ، حدثنا يحيى بن محمد بن يحيى، حدثنا عبد الله بن عبد الوهاب الحَجَبي، حدثنا إسماعيل ابن عُلَية، حدثنا سعيد بن إياس الجُرَيري، عن أبي عبد الله الجَسْري - حيٌّ من عَنَزَة - عن عبد الله بن الصامت، عن أبي ذرٍّ قال: قلت: يا رسولَ الله، بأبي وأُمِّي، أيُّ الكلام أحبُّ إلى الله؟ قال: "ما اصْطَفاهُ الله لملائكتِه: سبحانَ ربِّي، وبحمدِه سبحانَ ربِّي وبحمدِه" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I said: O Messenger of Allah! May my father and mother be ransomed for you, which speech is most beloved to Allah Almighty? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That which Allah Almighty has chosen for His angels (and it is): 'Subhana Rabbi wa bihamdihi, Subhana Rabbi wa bihamdihi' (Glorified is my Lord with His praise, glorified is my Lord with His praise)."
This hadith is sahih on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

(2) إسناده صحيح. أبو عبد الله الجَسْري: هو حِميَري - اسم بلفظ النسبة - بن بشير.
Grading: Its chain is sahih. Abu Abd Allah al-Jasri is Himyari (a name in the form of a nisbah) bin Bashir.
وأخرجه الترمذي (3593) عن أحمد بن إبراهيم الدورقي، عن إسماعيل ابن علية، بهذا الإسناد. ¤ ¤ وقال: حديث حسن صحيح.
Reference / Source: Imam al-Tirmidhi (3593) narrated it from Ahmad bin Ibrahim al-Dawraqi, from Isma'il Ibn Ulayyah, with this chain, and said this hadith is hasan sahih.
وأخرجه أحمد 35/ (21320) و (21429) و (21529)، ومسلم (2731) (84) و (85) من طرق عن سعيد بن إياس الجريري، به.

وأخرجه النسائي (10591) من طريق عبد الله بن المختار، عن سعيد الجريري، عن أبي عبد الله الجسري، عن أبي ذر. لم يذكر عبد الله بن الصامت. قال الدارقطني في "العلل" (1107) بعد ذكر طريق عبد الله بن المختار هذه: والصواب قول ابن علية ومن تابعه.
Reference / Source: Imam al-Nasa'i (10591) narrated it by way of Abd Allah bin al-Mukhtar, from Sa'id al-Jurayri, from Abu Abd Allah al-Jasri, from Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him), but without mentioning Abd Allah bin al-Samit.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Imam al-Daraqutni, after mentioning this route of Abd Allah bin al-Mukhtar in "al-Ilal" (1107), said that the correct version is that of Ibn Ulayyah and those who corroborated him.
