وحدثنا أبو بكر بن إسحاق، أخبرنا محمد بن محمد بن حيَّان (2) الأنصاري، حدثنا محمد بن الصَّبّاح الجَرجَرائي، حدثنا مروان بن معاوية الفَزَاري، حدثنا أبو المَلِيح المَدَني (3)، عن أبي صالح، عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسولُ الله ﷺ: إنَّ الله ليَغْضبُ على مَن لم (4) يَفعلْهُ، ولا يفعلُ ذلك أحدٌ غيرُه"؛ يعني في الدعاء (5).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد؛ فإنَّ أبا صالح الخُوزيَّ وأبا المَلِيح الفارسيَّ لم يُذكَرا بالجَرح، إنما هما في عِداد المجهولين لقلَّة الحديث.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah becomes angry with the one who does not ask of Him, and there is none other than Allah (who becomes angry when not asked)."
The chain of this hadith is sahih (authentic), because there is no criticism (jarh) of Abu Salih al-Khuzi and Abu al-Malih al-Farisi; they are only counted among the unknown (majhul) narrators because of the small number of their narrations.

(2) في (ز) و (ع): حبان، بالباء الموحدة، وأُهملت في (ص)، وقد تكرر ذكره في كتب البيهقي وكتب التراجم بالياء آخر الحروف، انظر التعليق على الحديث رقم (49).
Technical note: In manuscripts (z) and (a) the name is "Hibban" (with the letter ba), and it is left unpointed in (s), whereas it recurs in the books of al-Bayhaqi and the biographical works as "Hayyan" (with the letter ya). See the note on hadith no. (49).
(3) تحرَّف في النسخ الخطية إلى: الهذلي، وأبو المليح هذا ليس هو الهذلي، وإنما هو فارسيٌّ سكن المدينة، فيقال له: المدني.
Technical note: In the manuscripts this was corrupted to "al-Hudhali", whereas this Abu al-Malih is not al-Hudhali but a Persian who settled in Madinah, so he is called al-Madani.
(4) لفظة "لم" سقطت من (ز)، ووقع في "مسند الفردوس": "على من لا يسأله".
Technical note: The word "lam" has dropped out of manuscript (z); the wording in "Musnad al-Firdaws" is: "against the one who does not ask Him".
(5) إسناده ضعيف من أجل أبي صالح - وهو الخوزي - كما سبق.
Grading: The chain is weak because of Abu Salih al-Khuzi, as mentioned earlier.
وأخرجه الديلمي في "مسند الفردوس" كما في "الغرائب الملتقطة" لابن حجر (777) من طريق عبد الله بن أحمد بن مملوس، عن محمد بن محمد بن حيان، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Al-Daylami narrated it in "Musnad al-Firdaws" (as in Ibn Hajar's "al-Ghara'ib al-Multaqatah" (777)) by way of Abd Allah bin Ahmad bin Mamlus, from Muhammad bin Muhammad bin Hayyan, with this chain.
وأخرج أحمد 15/ (9701) عن مروان بن معاوية الفزاري، به، قال رسول الله ﷺ: "من لا يسأله يغضب عليه".
