Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 1786

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) perform Umrah from al-Tan'im in Dhu al-Hijjah, on Laylat al-Hasbah (the night of return from Mina).
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it!

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Its chain is sahih.
Technical note: Abu Bakr bin Ishaq's name is Ahmad; Ibn Bukayr is Yahya bin 'Abdullah bin Bukayr, al-Layth is Ibn Sa'd, and Abu al-Zubayr is Muhammad bin Muslim bin Tadrus.
Reference / Source: It was narrated by Ahmad (23/15244), Muslim (1213), Abu Dawud (1785) and al-Nasa'i (3729) through various routes from al-Layth bin Sa'd, with this same chain, and all of them report it within the longer story of 'A'ishah's (may Allah be pleased with her) Hajj and menstruation.
Important point: al-Hakim's inclusion of it in the Mustadrak is an oversight on his part (since it is already in the Sahihayn).
Reference / Source: It was narrated by Ahmad (22/14322), Muslim and al-Nasa'i through two routes from Abu al-Zubayr.
Reference / Source: al-Nasa'i (4217) also narrated it with the chain 'Ata' bin Abi Rabah from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him).
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: On this topic the narration of 'Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) will come later at number (6130).
