أخبرنا أحمد بن محمد بن عَبدُوس، حدثنا عثمان بن سعيد، حدثنا عثمان بن أبي شَيْبة، حدثنا محمد بن بشر، عن محمد بن عمرو، عن أبي سلمة، أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "الحياءُ من الإيمان، والإيمانُ في الجنَّة، والبَذَاءُ من الجَفَاء، والجفاءُ في النار" (1).
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Modesty is part of faith, and faith leads to Paradise; obscene speech is part of harshness, and harshness leads to the Fire."

(1) حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد حسن من أجل محمد بن عمرو: وهو ابن علقمة بن وقاص الليثي، وقد توبع.
Grading: This hadith is sahih, and this chain is hasan because of Muhammad bin Amr al-Laythi; he is also corroborated.
وأخرجه الترمذي (2009) عن أبي كريب، عن محمد بن بشر، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Al-Tirmidhi narrated it (2009) via Abu Kurayb, with this same chain of Muhammad bin Bishr.
وأخرجه أحمد 16/ (10512)، والترمذي (2009)، وابن حبان (608) من طرق عن محمد ابن عمرو، به. وقال الترمذي: حديث حسن صحيح.
Reference / Source: Ahmad, al-Tirmidhi and Ibn Hibban narrated it through various routes from Muhammad bin Amr.
Grading: Al-Tirmidhi declared it "hasan sahih".
وأخرجه ابن حبان (609) من طريق سعيد بن أبي هلال، عن أبي سلمة، به. وإسناده صحيح.
