It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Modesty is part of faith, and (the person of) faith will be in Paradise; obscene speech is part of harshness, and (the person of) harshness will be in the Fire."
It has a second supporting narration on the condition of Muslim:
Grading: Its chain is sahih. Technical note / Defect ('illah): Although the narrator Hushaym is a mudallis and narrates here with "an" ('an'anah), in other sources he has explicitly stated his hearing (hearing directly). Reference / Source: Ibn Majah (4184) and Ibn Hibban (5704) narrated it via Isma'il bin Musa al-Fazari, with this same chain of Hushaym. Note / Clarification: "البذاء" means obscene speech, and "الجفاء" means harshness of nature and hardness of heart, which lead to distance from people, rudeness, and abandoning ties of kinship.
