It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubayr bin Mut'im (may Allah be pleased with him) that Quraysh (in the Days of Ignorance) used to depart only from Muzdalifah, saying: We are the "Hums" (the special people of the Sanctuary), so we will not go outside the Sanctuary. And they used to abandon the standing at Arafah. He said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in the Days of Ignorance standing with the people at Arafah on a camel of his; then he would spend the morning with his people at Muzdalifah, and when they departed, he too would depart with them.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: The chain is "hasan" on account of Muhammad bin Ishaq; he has explicitly stated that he heard it, which removes the suspicion of his tadlis. Technical note: Wahb bin Jarir refers to Ibn Hazim. Reference / Source: Ibn Khuzaymah (2843) narrated it through Nasr bin 'Ali al-Jahdami with this same chain. Reference / Source: Al-Tabarani narrated it in "al-Kabir" (1578) by way of Wahb bin Jarir. (1793). Repetition: A similar narration will come later at nos. (1792) and (1793).
