أخبرنا أبو جعفر محمد بن علي الشَّيباني بالكوفة، حدثنا أحمد بن حازم بن أبي غَرَزَة، حدثنا الحسن بن الرَّبيع، حدثنا عبد الله بن إدريس، حدثنا محمد بن إسحاق، عن يحيى بن عبَّاد بن عبد الله بن الزُّبير، عن أبيه، عن أسماء بنت أبي بكر الصديق قالت: خَرَجْنا مع رسول الله ﷺ حُجّاجًا، وإِنَّ زِمَالَةَ رسول الله ﷺ وزِمَالةَ أبي بكرٍ واحدةٌ، فنَزَلْنَا العَرْج، وكانت زِمَالتُنا مع غلامِ أبي بكر، قالت: فجلس رسولُ الله ﷺ، وجلست عائشةُ إلى جَنْبه، وجلس أبو بكر إلى جَنْب رسول الله ﷺ من الشِّقِّ الآخَر، وجلستُ إلى جَنْبِ أبي ننتظرُ غلامَه وزمالَتَه حتى يأتِيَنا، فاطَّلَع الغلامُ يمشي ما مَعَه بعيرُه، قال: فقال له أبو بكر: أين بعيرُك؟ قال: أَضلَّني الليلةَ، قالت: فقام أبو بكرٍ يَضربُه ويقول: بعيرٌ واحدٌ أضلَّك وأنت رجل؟! فما يزيدُ رسولُ الله ﷺ على أن يتبسَّمَ ويقول: "انظروا إلى هذا المُحرِم ما يَصنَعُ" (1).
Sayyidah Asma' bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with them both) relates: We set out with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) for Hajj, and the provisions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and of Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) were on a single camel. We stopped at al-Arj, and that camel was with Abu Bakr's servant. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) sat on one side and Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) on the other side, and I too sat beside my father, waiting for the servant and the baggage. Then the servant appeared, coming on foot, and the camel was not with him. Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) asked: Where is your camel? He said: I lost it last night. On hearing this, Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) began to beat him, saying: There was only one camel, and you lost even that? Seeing this, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) began to smile and said: "Look at this man in ihram, what he is doing."

Grading: Its chain is da'if (weak), because Muhammad bin Ishaq is a mudallis and he narrated it with 'an'anah.
وأخرجه أحمد 44/ (26916)، وأبو داود (1818)، وابن ماجه (2933) من طريق عبد الله بن إدريس بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Ahmad 44/ (26916), Abu Dawud (1818) and Ibn Majah narrated it with the chain of Abd Allah bin Idris.
والزِّمالة، بكسر الزاي: أدوات السفر وآلاته مما يتعلق به.
Important point: "al-zimalah" (with a kasrah on the zay): this means travel gear and the tools and implements related to it.
والعَرْج: بفتح فسكون، قرية جامعة من عمل الفُرْع جنوب المدينة على بعد (113) كم تقريبًا.
Important point: "al-'Arj": (with a fathah on the 'ayn and a sukun on the ra') this is a large village south of Madinah, approximately 113 kilometres away.
