مِنْ تَلْبِيَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ -

Mustadrak al-Hakim 1671 — From the Talbiyah of the Messenger of Allah
أخبرَناه عبد الله بن محمد بن موسى، حدثنا إسماعيل بن قُتيبة، حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شَيبة، حدثنا وكيع، عن سفيان، عن عبد الله بن أبي لَبيد، عن المُطَّلب بن عبد الله بن حَنْطَب، عن خَلَّاد بن السائب، عن زيد بن خالد الجُهَنيِّ قال: قال رسولُ الله ﷺ: "جاءني جبريلُ فقال: يا محمد، مُرْ أصحابَك فليرفَعوا صِياحَهم بالتَّلبية، فإنها شِعارُ الحج" (1). وقيل: عن المطَّلب بن عبد الله بن حَنْطب عن أبي هريرة:
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zayd bin Khalid al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Jibril (peace be upon him) came to me and said: O Muhammad, command your Companions to raise their voices while calling out the talbiyah, for it is the emblem of Hajj."

Grading: Its isnad is sahih. Sufyan refers to al-Thawri.
